A quarterly issue of Weavings explores Christ’s work on earth through Isaiah’s commission to bring good news to the poor (Luke 4:18). The editorial theme emphasizes seeing the poor rather than overlooking them, highlighted through the Matthew 25 scripture on the back cover. Contributors offer stories and Christian perspectives that invite recognition, community belonging, and practical compassion, including reflections on women leaving the sex trade, homelessness, midnight encounters, and approaches to addressing poverty.
