[Date] Dear [PSW Name]: You are receiving this letter because an individual whom you serve as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) has assessed needs which qualify for Enhanced supports. As a result, you may be eligible to receive a higher hourly attendant care service rate if you complete specialized training through the Oregon Home Care Commission (OHCC) to obtain a certification. In order to qualify for the Enhanced rate, you must complete the required training through the OHCC. Please see the links below for more information about training and certification. You will only be eligible for the Enhanced rate once you have completed the required training. You must complete additional courses in order to maintain your certification and as long as the individual with whom you work continues to qualify for Enhanced supports. The hourly Enhanced rate can be found in the most recent Collective Bargaining Agreement. Please note: if you are already being paid a rate exceeding the Enhanced rate, you will not be eligible for an Enhanced rate increase but may be eligible for a Professional Development Certification (PDC) differential of $.50 if you satisfy the PDC training requirements.
