News from the Friends . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . For many years, the Friends of Sayville Library have paid for the Library’s Museum Pass Program. This program allows our patrons to visit a variety of museums free-of-charge. These are opportunities for families to share a visit with others including children at ten different museums: Long Island Children’s Museum, the Children’s Museum of the East End, and the Intrepid, to name a few. Also included in this program are two Empire Passes, one for 3-days and another for 7-days at any NY State Park. The annual cost of the museum pass program is $5,685, paid for by the Friends of the Library. Visit sayvillelibrary. org/passes for more information or stop by the Library where a staff member can assist you. Please continue to support the Friends by buying raffle tickets to our annual wine raffle. Tickets are available at the Front Desk, Adult Desk, and the Children’s Desk. You may place an order and leave a check and the tickets will be sent to you. Members of the Friends have tickets as well. Winners will be called after the drawing on November 20. First Prize is a case of red and white wine, Second Prize & Third Prize is a half case of red and white. The proceeds from this fundraiser provides a way for the Friends to bring non-budgeted items to patrons. Best wishes for the holidays. Lorraine Martin, President
