Chitosan-formulated Passiflora edulis leaf nanoparticles (PLEN) were assessed for anti-inflammatory and anti-osteoarthritis effects. In LPS-induced RAW 264.7 cells, PLEN reduced NO production, iNOS, and TNF-α levels. In a MIA-induced rat osteoarthritis model, PLEN increased body weight and alleviated inflammation and cartilage degradation while improving knee and spleen-related measures. Molecular docking suggested distinct bioactive compounds targeting iNOS, TNF-α, IL-6, and MMP-9 pathways.
