IMPORTANT: All students who require a student visa MUST BE NOMINATED before April 30. It is not possible to process the visa at the arrival to Spain due to the infeasibility of processing deadlines.

A B2 English level is required for students wishing to follow English-taught courses , only available in some study areas with limited spots.
Traineeships: students of Nursing, Physiotherapy and Medicine must hold at least a B2/C1 level of Spanish. | | | | | | Intensive/ Semester-long Spanish Language Courses | | Intensive Spanish Course (4 ECTS )

What are the nomination and application deadlines for incoming students in 2025-2026?

Autumn semester and full academic year nomination runs from 22nd April to 23rd May 2025, while online applications run from 23rd April to 31st May 2025. Spring semester and extensions nomination is 22nd September to 24th October 2025, with applications from 23rd September to 31st October 2025.

What language level is required for exchange students at UFV?

Since teaching at UFV is Spanish, students need at least B1. B2 English is required to follow English-taught courses where available in limited spots. Trainees from Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Medicine must hold at least B2/C1 Spanish.

What health insurance and visa documentation is required for exchange students?

EU residents must hold the European Health Insurance Card or equivalent private insurance. Non-residents EU students require private insurance covering medical assistance, accidents, and repatriation. Non-resident EU documentation includes a valid passport and visa or a valid residence permit; touristic visas are not valid for study at UFV.
