A newly designed computer-assisted treatment program, My Sentence Builder, was evaluated for remediating expressive-grammar deficits in preschool children with specific language impairment (SLI), with attention to features aimed at verbal working memory-related difficulties. Thirty-four preschoolers with expressive-grammar morphology deficits were assigned to computer-assisted (C-AT), non-computer-assisted (nC-AT), or control groups. Blind assessments pre-, post-, and 3 months later showed treated groups outperformed controls without significant C-AT vs. nC-AT differences. Results support treatment benefit and feasibility of the C-AT approach.
