YouTube FOR YOGA TEACHERS Guide with tips and templates for marketing your yoga business using online video created by Ashley Hagen Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to download this guide for Yoga Teachers starting on YouTube. Inside you’ll see tips, examples and templates for creating your channel and recording your first videos. When I bought a yoga studio in 2019, I thought my days of making yoga videos on YouTube were over. Little did I know that a global pandemic would bring me right back to what I know and love-teaching yoga online. Even now as we’re back to good ol’ in-person teaching, online video is still a great way to reach new prospective students. The good news is, creating compelling videos is a lot easier than you might think. And any yoga teacher can do it (as long as you have decent internet and basic technology.) If you want to start a YouTube channel, your first step is to commit to it. Easier said than done, so let me help get you started. FAQs

What should yoga teachers do first when starting a YouTube channel?

Commit to the channel and get educated about how YouTube works. Begin by becoming a viewer, interacting through comments, and investing in an online program if desired.

How should yoga teachers use their first 6–10 video uploads?

Treat the uploads as a test phase rather than locking in a niche immediately. Vary content, style, and delivery, analyze statistics, and evaluate thumbnail and title choices.

What equipment, software, and insurance are recommended to get started?

Have a computer, phone, or tablet, plus a video camera, microphone, and lighting. Use recording and editing software, and consider yoga liability insurance (including online instruction coverage).

What does a strong yoga video script outline include?

A clear hook, introduction, credibility or story, main content broken into 3–5 tips or steps, an engagement call-to-action, and a summary with a call-to-action.
