Topeka Metro’s Lift system was established in 1976 as one of the first paratransit services in the United States. The Lift is an origin to destination accessible bus service for those persons with disabilities in Topeka who are functionally unable to use the wheelchair accessible fixed route bus system. Topeka Metro is committed to providing the best service possible for the community and is also committed to the proposition that all persons should be afforded equal public transit opportunities. The following information will help Lift passengers and Topeka Metro staff work together to provide the best possible service to the largest number of persons seeking transportation.
