Special Instructions to create: 122 stud pattern on a 16 x 154″/41cm x 391cm track 124 stud pattern on a 15 x 156″/38cm x 396cm track 124 stud pattern on a 16 x 156″/41cm x 396cm track Follow the directions for the 108 single pattern on the template for both the 122 and 124 stud patterns. The difference will be the number of times the pattern is repeated/template moved to mark the entire track because of the different track lengths. Refer to the picture on Woody’s® 252T Template. Note, the 108 single stud pattern has a specific sequence of letters. Note: A PITCH is the space between each lug row. 1) The 252T-TEMP template will accommodate 13.5″/34cm , 14″/36cm , 15”/38cm, & 16”/41cm wide tracks. At the ends of each lug slot a portion of the template is outlined in a black dotted line. •To fit a 15″/38cm wide track remove the marked areas for 14” and 15” wide tracks. •To fit a 16″/41cm wide track remove the marked areas for 14”, 15”, and 16” wide tracks. •Once these areas have been removed the template should not be used on tracks that are less than the removed area was intended for. 2) Remove the pre-punched knockouts adjacent to the letters in the 108 single stud, center belt pattern 3) Place the template on the track. This template will cover 6 pitches with the lugs protruding through 4) Begin marking with a Woody’s® Track Marker ONLY the letter that apply to the 108 single stud, center belt pattern a. If installing Angled Digger® support plates, the hole(s) for drilling will be offset from the original pattern holes marked. Center the Angled Digger® support plate between the lugs over the original pattern marked. Create a new offset mark for drilling in the center of the hole of the Angled Digger® support plate. Refer to the Angled Digger® Support Plate Installation instructions included in the package 5) Move the template to cover the next 6 pitches 6) You should have 12 stud locations marked on your track, two studs per pitch for six pitches. See the illustration below 7) Continue to move the template until each pitch has two stud placement marks •122 stud pattern on a 16 x 154″/41cm x 391cm track-you will move the template 10 times and on the last movement of the template to complete the pattern you will mark only the first pitch. Pitches 2 through 6 will already be marked as this is where you started marking the track •124 stud pattern on a 15 x 156″/38cm x 396cm track-you will move the template 10 times and on the last movement of the template to complete the pattern you will mark the first and second pitch only. Pitches 3 through 6 will already be marked as this is where you started marking the track •124 stud pattern on a 16 x 156″/41cm x 396cm track-you will move the template 10 times and on the last movement of the template to complete the pattern you will mark the first and second pitch only. Pitches 3 through 6 will already be marked as this is where you started marking the track 8) Note: Because different length tracks have different numbers of lugs it may not always come out evenly. But because you have 2 studs in every pitch it will be balanced 2.52 Pitch, Two-Ply Template 96 Studs-121" Track 102 Studs-128" Track 108 Studs-136" Track 114 Studs-144" Track 96 Single Plates-121" Track 108 Single Plates-136" Track 102 Single Plates-128" Track 114 Single Plates-144" Track The pattern in this illustration required moving the template twice. FAQs

What template is used to create the 122 and 124 stud patterns?

The 252T-TEMP (Long Track Template) is used, based on the 108 single stud, center belt pattern sequence.

How do you adapt the 252T-TEMP template for different track widths (15 in vs 16 in)?

For a 15 in wide track, remove marked areas for 14 in and 15 in. For a 16 in wide track, remove marked areas for 14 in, 15 in, and 16 in, and do not use the template on tracks narrower than the removed intended area.

How many times do you move the template to complete each target stud pattern?

For the 122 stud pattern on a 16 x 154 in track, move the template 10 times and mark only the first pitch on the last movement. For the 124 stud patterns on 15 x 156 in and 16 x 156 in tracks, move the template 10 times and mark only the first and second pitches on the last movement.
