Effective partnerships are essential for non-profits to maximize impact, leverage resources, and achieve sustainable outcomes. This Teaching Paper provides structured guidance on formalizing partnerships through standardized agreement templates. By documenting objectives, roles, resource allocation, communication protocols, conflict resolution, and evaluation criteria, organizations can establish clarity and mutual accountability from the outset. Three agreement types—general, corporate, and community—are examined, with practical tailoring instructions. A case study applies a community template in a rural education initiative and supports academic understanding and practitioner implementation.
