FAQs

How do tire compound formulas drive drag and street performance?

The guide describes purpose-built compound formulas matched to racing and performance conditions, with temperature as a critical factor. Cooler-running compounds help with bracket racing and consistent ETs, while softer blends target maximum grip under high horsepower and heat.

How can you identify the compound of current ET Drag® tires?

Look at the serial number on the sidewall of the tire. The guide provides an example format and indicates that compound identification is tied to the sidewall serial.

What construction codes and features are used for drag tire selection?

The guide lists drag tire construction options such as ST (suggested for manual transmissions), W (extra tread width), S (stiff sidewall construction for quicker reaction time), and R (radial construction). It also highlights tire features like multiple compounds and sizes, easy burnout requirements, and engineered build quality.
