FAQs

What environmental limits must be followed to avoid voiding the warranty?

The manual specifies indoor use within controlled limits. It lists air temperature limits for the ice maker (50°F minimum, 100°F maximum), water temperature limits (40°F to 100°F), potable water pressure (20 to 80 psi), and voltage limits for 115 volt power (104 to 126).

How does water quality affect cleaning frequency and product life?

Water impurities impact the interval between cleanings and ultimately the product’s lifespan. Suspended solids can be filtered, while dissolved solids require dilution or treatment, and filters are recommended to remove suspended solids.

What guidance is given for chlorine removal and airborne contamination risks?

Most water filters remove chlorine, which can affect contamination behavior. Testing indicates using a filter that does not remove chlorine, such as Scotsman Aqua Patrol, improves the situation. Installing near yeast or similar materials may require more frequent sanitation cleanings due to airborne contamination.
