What does the 6-2 serve-receive formation involve?

The 6-2 formation utilizes two setters, allowing for a setter to be available in every rotation. It requires specific positioning for outside hitters and middle blockers to ensure efficient serve reception while maintaining offensive structure.

How does the 5-1 serve-receive setup differ from the 6-2?

The 5-1 system relies on a single setter for all rotations, which fundamentally changes the player alignment and rotation flow compared to the dual-setter 6-2 system. It features an opposite hitter and specific designated roles for middle blockers and outside hitters.

What is the rule regarding the libero during serve receive?

In both the 6-2 and 5-1 systems, the libero is permitted to be substituted into any back-row position to assist with defensive play and serve reception.
