Pod Nannies Description We’re looking for folks who’d like to be stewards of our cars this winter. These dedicated volunteers, called Pod Nannies, must be willing and able to rise early to clear snow and scrape windshields so that members can easily access the vehicles. In the event of heavy snow, you may need to return to the vehicle later in the day. Weare looking for backup Pod Nannies as well. We’re recruiting Pod Nannies for 25 cars, but seven of those have additional needs and must be moved to a designated alternate location during winter parking bans. Pod nannies for these seven cars will move them to their alternate parking spaces (we’ll give detailed instructions about this) before 10 pm and then return them in the morning. What’s in it for you Pod Nannies earn a $15 monthly driving credit during the winter months ( December March), whether or not it snows. They earn an additional $20 in driving credits for each hour worked. Back-up Pod Nannies receive $20 in driving credits for each hour worked (with a minimum of $20 in a month when they work at least once that month but don’t reach a full hour). Plus, you’ll be one of the team bringing successful carsharing to Vermont, for which you’ll have our sincere appreciation and undying gratitude! | 131 St. Paul Street Burlington, VT 05401 [carsharevt.org](carsharevt.org) | [info@carsharevt.org](info@carsharevt.org)

F (802) 861-2371 | | --- | --- | Guidelines Cars and spaces need to be cleaned whenever there are 3 inches or more of accumulation. During heavy snow, this may mean making a couple of trips to the pod in a day, whenever it fits into your schedule. Volunteers will need to have access to a sturdy snow shovel. Pod nannies should have the physical ability to shovel and scrape in deep snow and cold weather and be willing to rise early in the day when needed. We’re looking for folks who can commit to the job from December 1 to March 31 and who will reliably communicate with staff about availability. To earn credits, volunteers need to log time in an online spreadsheet, so computer access is required. We’ll explain how to do this and when. To Volunteer If you’re inspired by our mission, want to get involved with a local nonprofit, and want to help make carsharing work in this area, send us an email! Write to[scudder@carsharevt.org](scudder@carsharevt.org), and tell us which car or cars you’re interested in helping with and why you think you’d make a dynamite nanny. Please write “Pod Nanny” in the subject line. | 131 St. Paul Street Burlington, VT 05401 [carsharevt.org](carsharevt.org) | [info@carsharevt.org](info@carsharevt.org)
