This official notice serves as a formal declaration by the Skagit County Historical Museum regarding an unclaimed agricultural artifact currently in its possession. Specifically, the museum is addressing an International Harvester (McCormick Deering) ground-powered grain binder and reaper, circa 1907-1910, identified as item #32, which lacks formal accession paperwork or a deed of gift. As the property has been held for over five years without a verified owner, the museum is initiating legal procedures under Title 63 RCW. The notice requests that any individuals with knowledge of the rightful owner or valid claims of title provide written notification to the museum's Head of Collections by February 23, 2026. If no claims are successfully presented by this deadline, the item will be legally deemed abandoned or donated, officially transitioning to the ownership of the Skagit County Historical Museum to ensure its continued preservation within the collection.
