Network Diagram for Critical Path Method template guides task scheduling using standard CPM fields. Enter task names, IDs, durations, and predecessor relationships to build the dependency arrows. Compute Early Start (ES), Early Finish (EF), Late Start (LS), and Late Finish (LF) for each task, using the provided formulas. Identify the longest path across sequences and label it the Critical Path. Includes task list tables with min/mean/max duration columns.

FAQs

What information is needed to fill in the network diagram for CPM?

Enter each task’s name, task ID, duration, and its predecessors (dependencies). Then draw arrows between tasks based on those predecessor relationships.

How are Early Start (ES) and Early Finish (EF) calculated?

Use ES = EF of predecessors + 1, and EF = Duration + ES − 1, following the template’s formulas.

How do I identify the Critical Path in the diagram?

After computing ES/EF and LS/LF for every task, mark the longest path across all sequences as the Critical Path.
