NEMA 250-2020 test report documents evaluation of an outdoor camera enclosure intended for standalone and panel-mount installation, rated Type 4X. Testing laboratory Underwriters Laboratories Taiwan Co., Ltd. conducted specified NEMA 250-2020 clause tests for ingress of water resistance (hosedown) and corrosion protection for relevant enclosure types, while selected material and gasket-related tests were waived based on referenced prior report results. Results indicate pass status across the construction and polymeric material requirements, including corrosion protection compliance through coated aluminum alloy and a salt spray corrosion test where applicable.

FAQs

What standard and enclosure rating are covered in the test report?

The report uses NEMA 250-2020 for electrical equipment enclosures and evaluates an enclosure rated Type 4X (with exclusions noted for certain other types).

Which tests were performed and what are their focus areas?

Performed tests include protection against ingress of water via hosedown and corrosion protection requirements relevant to certain enclosure types. Notes indicate test methods reference UL standards identical to NEMA 250.

Why were some tests waived in this report?

Material-polymeric and gasket material tests were waived, with rationale referencing impact test and other mechanical test determinations from end product standard and prior report numbers for tensile/elongation gasket properties.
