What essential elements must be included in a rental letter of guarantee?

A rental letter of guarantee must include the guarantor's business or personal letterhead, the address of the rental property, the name of the tenant and their relationship to the guarantor, the lease start date, and a statement confirming the guarantee is made jointly and severally.

What is the legal implication of 'joint and several' liability in this context?

Joint and several liability means the guarantor is legally responsible for the full payment of the rent, providing the landlord with the right to pursue the guarantor for any unpaid rent owed by the tenant during the lease period.

How should the completed letter of guarantee be submitted to Yuliv Properties Inc.?

The letter should be faxed to 514-635-6304, scanned and emailed to rentals@yuliv.ca, or sent via mail to the company's office located at 3875 St-Urbain, Suite 101, Montreal, Quebec, H2W 1T9.
