LAYERED PROCESS AUDITS - Part 7 - Introduction, Benefits, and Process Explanation

Sep 26, 2026

LAYERED PROCESS AUDITS outline the purpose, scope, and responsibilities for implementing standardized, regular audits across leadership and operators. The document details the key benefits: verifying compliance to documented processes, building discipline, strengthening communication, improving overall quality, and ensuring control of high-risk elements. It defines the layered audit system, including scheduling and tracking, selecting high-risk items, using a checklist for current-process evaluation against standards, documenting corrective actions and countermeasures, and requiring senior management review and follow-up.
