You're creating more than just an event, aren't you? When crafting joining instructions, consider the entire programme, not just the training event. Ensure everyone involved knows their role and what's expected of them, as well as what they can expect from others. Think delegates, managers, facilitators, and anyone else contributing to the programme. Plan your programme so those involved know what's happening tomorrow and the next day. Include different joining instructions for each role. Make sure people have visibility of the whole programme and its benefits. Address questions you'd ask yourself when reading joining instructions – are they relevant, concise, and compelling? Your delegate books onto a course through your booking system; send them an email with details, including joining instructions. This sets expectations and makes a strong impression. Improve your joining instructions by covering the basics, such as confirming booking details, and going above and beyond. It's essential to consider delegates' feelings when the trainer has to wait for late arrivals, so try getting everyone there early by including this in your invitations. The checklist below ensures that everything important is covered. **Venue** Make sure the venue details are clearly stated, including the full address and postcode of the training location. It might seem like a simple requirement, but it can often be forgotten. Also include information about where delegates should register when they arrive. Including a map with parking and transport info will save time for both trainers and delegates. **Course Materials** Provide an overview of the course to set realistic expectations within joining instructions. Let delegates know what they'll learn and what topics will be covered. If the course spans multiple sessions, inform them about what to expect in future courses. This can keep them engaged and excited. **Refreshments** Let learners know that refreshments will be available during the training course to make them feel welcome and relaxed. Clarify whether this is included in the price or if they'll have to buy these items themselves. If you're offering refreshments, it's crucial to mention any dietary requirements. **Contact Details** Provide contact details for the trainer or venue in case of emergencies like last-minute cancellations, travel delays, or queries before the course date. This lets delegates know that the trainer is available to help and makes it easy to get in touch. To become a go-to training provider, make re-booking easy for attendees by offering deals like "Two-For-Tuesday" promotions. Also, consider providing promo codes, early bird discounts, or referral incentives. Make these offers stand out on the joining instructions for maximum impact. When sending out joining instructions, ensure they're accessible and user-friendly across various platforms, including desktops, mobile devices, tablets, and even printed copies. Format the information to suit each device, giving delegates a seamless experience. Joining instructions set the tone for the course, so make them welcoming and exciting! Include essential details, but also add personality to keep attendees engaged. Consider creating multiple joining instruction templates to speed up future processes. Automated training software can simplify this process, saving time and resources. For more tips on automation, download the "10 Ways to Automate" eBook. Other related articles dis
