ITN Campaign and Continuous Distribution (CD) Trackers - Purpose, Progress and Data Needs

Sep 12, 2026

ITN Campaign and Continuous Distribution (CD) Trackers provide an operational overview of planned insecticide-treated net (ITN) campaigns, quantities, types, and campaign status, with a focus on identifying bottlenecks requiring partner support. The tracker improves visibility across distribution channels and supports advocacy for sustained ITN access through better investment in CD mechanisms. Progress highlights coordination with key partners and national malaria programmes to populate and validate templates, while challenges emphasize data completeness, varying quantification methods, and validation needs using sources such as DHIS2.

FAQs

What is the main purpose of the ITN campaign and CD trackers?

They provide an overview of planned ITN campaigns and continuous distribution efforts, including quantities, types, and status, while identifying bottlenecks and supporting advocacy for sustained ITN access.

What key data points are collected for the ITN campaign tracker?

The tracker captures target population (when available), ITN quantities and types, funding partners, campaign phase and status, and whether digital data collection is used along with its scale.

What progress and challenges are reported for the ITN CD tracker?

Progress includes coordination with major partners and completion of draft trackers with multiple national malaria programmes. Challenges include partial results from DHIS2 data and the need for finalization and validation of results.
