The study examines outcomes and student satisfaction when concept maps are used as an assessment method in video-based distance surgical nursing laboratory education during the COVID-19 pandemic. A cross-sectional design was applied with 182 second-year nursing students divided into 11 small groups on a digital education platform. Students watched six perioperative nursing videos and created/uploaded concept maps, which were scored by instructors using a previously prepared template and evaluated through an online questionnaire. Total concept map scores were high, while lower performance was observed in Hierarchy, Examples, and Cross Links compared with the Proposition section.
