This document provides a template for creating an executive summary for a project proposal, likely for the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC). It outlines the key sections required for a comprehensive summary, including funding sources and amounts, a detailed project description addressing "who, what, where, when, and how," and the strategic rationale behind the project. The template also guides the applicant in describing collaborative partnerships, project sustainability and capacity, and performance measures. The funding section includes a table to detail contributions from ARC, Federal, State, and other sources, with a total of $0.00 and 0.00% indicated. The project description section emphasizes detailing major activities, while the strategic rationale requires an explanation of problems/opportunities, the necessity of ARC funding, and alignment with regional strategies. Collaborative partnerships should be identified, with options for appending supporting documentation. Project sustainability and capacity involve describing past experience and plans for post-ARC support. Finally, quantifiable performance measures, including leveraged private investment, must be identified according to ARC guidance.
