FAQs

What is the Shelter-in-Place procedure for severe weather or hazardous waste emergencies?

Listen to the announcement and follow directions, move students to designated shelter locations, close doors and windows, and prepare to cover heads to protect from debris. Remain sheltered until notified.

How should teachers handle an evacuation during fire, explosion, or hazardous material spill events?

Use designated routes to evacuate and report to the assigned Assembly Area. Close the door, turn off lights, use alternate exits if blocked, bring class/phone lists and Go Kit materials, then take attendance and report missing students or staff.

What does Lockdown require, and how does A.L.I.C.E. guide staff actions?
