DIGITAL MAILROOM AUTOMATION SOLUTION Optimize Your Business Processes PRODUCT SUMMARY Companies receive paper and electronic documents from multiple sources. For many organizations, collecting and processing this information can be time-consuming, resource-intensive, and prone to human error. Once set up, IRISXtract™ V5’s Digital Mailroom Automation Solution can automatically classify all types of incoming documents, extract key data, and then route it to recipients using the compatible business process application. This helps to make your documents and captured data available in users’ compatible systems 1,2 for fast and easy retrieval. HOW DOES IT WORK? With the scalable and modular Digital Mailroom Automation Solution, users can process both paper and electronic documents. Paper documents can be scanned right into IRISXtract™ V5 using a dedicated version of IRISPowerscan™. Documents can be divided manually (using separators like bar codes) or automatically (using the Intelligent Document Separation feature) .3 Electronic documents can be automatically imported from watched folders, compatible cloud repositories,1,2 and email.4 The solution can process complex and high-volume documents of various types and sources. Following document capture, documents are classified by type using the self-learning XClassify technology. During this process, relevant data is quickly captured and can be transferred to compatible record and casemanagement applications.1,2 Benefits Available • Automate Document Management Automate and optimize your document management with streamlined document workflows that help to automatically capture and classify incoming documents, extract key data, and then route it to compatible locations.1,2 • Free-Form, Template-Free Data Extraction With free-form, template-free extraction, users can decide which fields to extract from both structured and unstructured documents. • Help Limit Manual Processing Time and Errors Help minimize the time dedicated to—and the potential errors associated with—manual data entry using powerful data capture and extraction technologies like Optical Character Recognition (OCR), which can help provide reliable information. DOCUMENT CLASSIFICATION IRISXtract™ V5 combines multiple classification mechanisms—including rule-based classification, statistical analysis, and geometric pattern matching—to provide high-performance results. SELF-LEARNING DOCUMENT CLASSIFICATION With the XClassify feature, users can configure an extensive classification scenario in just a few clicks. No matter the number of document types, users simply need to provide the IRISXtract™ system with sample documents of each type and the system will do the rest. It can train itself automatically! OCR The IRIS-made OCR engine, iDRS, recognizes over 138+ languages and dialects,5 helping to provide users with the highest level of extraction performance. Using this feature, users can easily create searchable PDF files or export their files to compatible, editable formats (e.g. , . DOC, .TXT, etc.) . FREE-FORM AND TEMPLATE-BASED EXTRACTION The solution can capture both structured and unstructured documents. Data extraction rules are based on the document type that’s defined during the classification step. INTEGRATION IRISXtract™ V5 can export users’ documents to system folders, archives, and compatible third-party applications via the IRISConnect™ Toolbox add-on.6 IRISConnect™ dedicated connectors are also available for FTP, ODBC, and CMIS as well ascertain versions of SharePoint, Therefore™, and cloud services like BOX®, Dropbox®, Evernote®, Google Drive®, and OneDrive®.1,2 Multiple channels to import your documents. Straightforward configuration, allowing almost-unlimited document types. Freeform, template-free extraction; you decide what fields you need per document type. Depending on their type, documents and the data captured are routed where you need them to be.
