FAQs

What are the programme-specific outcomes for the B.Sc. Computer Science programme?

Learners can identify real-world problems and find proper solutions, enhance critical thinking, design and evaluate computer-based systems, apply computational skills across multidisciplinary areas, and work collaboratively. The curriculum also emphasizes sustainable career development with values across government, private, and public sectors.

What topics are covered in CSCMAJ1014 Programming Fundamentals using C/C++?

The course covers C/C++ fundamentals, token and data types, expressions and console I/O, program structure and control structures, arrays, functions, and memory allocation techniques. It also includes object-oriented principles, classes, constructors/destructors, file handling, operator/constructor overloading, inheritance, polymorphism via virtual functions, and basic exception handling using try, catch, and throw.

What kinds of practical assignments are included in the CSCMAJ1014 Lab?

The lab includes writing WAP programs such as printing sum/product of digits, reversing numbers, computing series sums, palindrome checking, prime checking, finding factors, using macros for swapping, printing star patterns, performing array operations (even/odd, sum and average, max/min, duplicate removal, reverse order), menu-driven programs, command-line alphabet occurrence tables, and pointer-based swapping and address passing.
