FAQs

What is the primary purpose of the Crop Cluster Development Programme?

It aims to collectivize farmers across the state to foster technology adoption, improve productivity and quality, improve input and service access, and increase farmer incomes through sustainable agriculture-based livelihoods.

Why is organized marketing needed for fresh fruits and vegetables under this programme?

Traditional chains face fragmented intermediaries, poor grading/sorting infrastructure, limited cold chain, weak market linkages, and demand-supply mismatch. Organized supply chains support organized marketing, reduce post-harvest losses, and address quality and bulk procurement expectations.

What types of documents are required for project processing?

The programme specifies documents required with the application for issuance of Letter of Intent (LoI) and additional documents required with the Detailed Project Report (DPR), supported by multiple annexures and appendices.
