Container Forklift Operator DAY & AFTERNOON SHIFTS Quote Job Code UWFCFO031203 Position Overview Container Forklift Operator is responsible for incoming, outgoing and internal lifts of containers within the depot. The Forklift Operator due to their multi skilled capabilities may also be utilized within other areas of the daily tasks of the Warehouse operation Main Duties / Responsibilities The Container Forklift Operator reports to the Key Account Manager and provides operational services such as FCL & empty container lifts on/off from transport and container movements within the Kerry Logistics depot as well as other operational duties as instructed by the Key Account Manger. Working with KCP gatehouse staff, Warehouse Team Leaders, Warehouse administration staff and other depot employees. The Forklift Operator will communicate with the rest of the team using a two-way radio in order to ensure all work is completed efficiently and on time. Daily forklift run sheets detailing the days movements are also to be completed by the Forklift Operator. In addition to the operational duties it is the responsibility of the Container Forklift Operator to assist in the maintenance of their forklift by daily checking oil, water and fuel levels. It is the responsibility of the Forklift Operator to report any damage, leaks or faults with any machinery or attachments to the Key Account Manager. At all times the Container Forklift Operator must act in a safe manner and in accordance with the relevant state and company Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Legislation. Performance Measures 1. Ensure preventative daily maintenance of mechanical equipment by checking the oil, water and fuel and reporting any damage or faults. 2. Compliance with state Occupational Health, Safety, Welfare and Environment legislation. 3. Compliance with Kerry Logistics Occupational Health, Safety, Welfare and Environment legislation 4. Providing operational services by loading outgoing containers onto trucks and unloading incoming containers. 5. Completing all required paperwork accurately on a daily basis 6.
