FAQs

What canvas size and resolution should be used when designing K12Print credit-card-size cards?

Use 3.465" x 2.275" at 800 DPI to account for bleed and cutting margins, even though the final printed size is 3.375" x 2.125".

How do the template margin files help during alignment?

They provide overlays for the safe zone, the cut line, and the lanyard slot, letting you ensure critical elements stay inside the safe zone and that edge-to-edge graphics extend into the bleed area past the cut line.

What should be done before submitting artwork to K12Print?

Verify the design fits within the margins, and if you edited with margin overlays, export the artwork with the margin layers hidden. Then upload the files and complete payment and shipping on K12Print.
