Sep 11, 2026

Uploaded by Grenda

A conversion-focused website audit for BelVG’s “Online Shop” project outlines pre-launch recommendations across usability, design and theme, alignment issues, and mobile and desktop experience quality. It specifies action items for merchandising (top sellers and newest products), CTA emphasis, error messaging, and highlight states on cart and checkout. The audit also details responsive requirements and browser/device coverage, enumerates alignment and localization errors, and provides speed optimization guidance for server, assets, caching, and PageSpeed/GTmetrix/WebPageTest checks before going live.

FAQs

What are the pre-launch site optimization recommendations for the Online Shop homepage?

Display top-selling and newest products on the main page and ensure CTA buttons attract attention on every page.

How should usability and checkout errors be handled to improve conversions?

Show product ratings and reviews on category pages, add appropriate error messaging when a transaction is declined, and highlight the CTA button on cart and checkout pages. Ensure required checkout fields and provide proper links to terms and conditions.

What speed optimization steps are required before the site goes live?

Host assets separately, enable GZip compression, minimize redirects and DNS lookups, and set up a Varnish cache. Merge JavaScript, compress JS/CSS, customize caching headers, off-load assets, and configure CSS and image handling. Validate performance with Google PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix, and WebPageTest.
