What happens on Results Day? You will receive an email with your results listed ● Year 11 will receive this email just after 8.30am on Thursday 22nd August 2024. You must read this email carefully as it will contain a lot of important information as well as links to Google Forms that you will need to respond to. Year 11 results will look like this: All subjects and grades will be listed, as well as your APS.(Average point score) If you have applied to sixth form, your subjects will also be listed: Other information attached to the email: Option Blocks Reminder of entry requirements Key Dates: ● Thursday 4th July 2024: Sixth Form Induction Day in school. ● Thursday 22nd August: Exam results and Sixth Form Enrolment (details to follow) ● Friday 23rd August 10.00-12.00pm: Sixth Form Enrolment / queries by appointment only ● Tuesday 3rd September 2024: First day of school for Y12 students. Complete the Google Form to request a call back between 8.30 and and 11.00am. Talk to a member of the Sixth Form Team . If you would like to speak to a member of the Sixth Form team please complete this form to make an appointment or request a call back. School will be open between 11am and 1pm for face to face appointments. Students who wish to collect a hard copy of their results can come to school between 11.00am and 12.00pm. All students coming onto the school site must report to school reception. Do not call the school or email individual teachers as you will only be directed to complete the Google Form. This helps us to support you more quickly and effectively. Reviews of Marking Review of marking. A linked document will explain the options available to you regarding reviews of marking. You will be asked to specify which paper you want to be reviewed and all related costs and deadlines will be explained. This process can be sped up if you give permission in advance for the school to recall and review your paper. You can do this by completing this very brief Google Form. We can only accept cash or cheques for this process and times you can drop this off will be made very clear. Resits Y11 Year 11 resit opportunities: Resit exams will only be available in English Language and Maths this November. All other subject resits will be Summer 2025. If you wish to request more information about this process please email the exams officer on results day. Students can request to resit GCSEs at Vyners but this will be done independentlyapart from those required to resit English and Maths who will be required to attend resit lessons. Students who leave Vyners should request a resit through their new school or college. Collection of Certificates Certificates arrive in school towards the end of the Autumn Term and should be collected from reception in the last two weeks of term 9th – 20th December 2024. We will put a notice on the school website when they are ready for collection. If you are unable to collect your certificates personally, they may be collected by someone else, as long as they have a letter of authorisation from you. Alternatively you can make a payment of £3 on Squid to cover the cost of postage and packing and we will post the certificates to the address we have on record when they are available. We strongly advise that you do this to ensure that you receive these valuable documents without issue. Certificates not collected by January 2025 will be disposed of. If you require your certificates after this time, you will need to apply directly to the exam boards for copies. This can be a complicated and expensive process.
