A children’s illustrated nonfiction book explores why dogs have wet noses and how dogs think, communicate, and perceive the world. It introduces the relationship between humans and dogs and examines key mysteries such as dogs’ instincts from birth, their senses, and how dogs learned to become companions. Early chapters address whether dogs are just tame wolves by comparing reproduction and family traits.
