Ultra Miniature IR Smart Probe User’s Guide covers safe installation, software setup, and communication for the SP-001/SP-002. The guide explains probe positioning, distance and spot size, ambient temperature and atmospheric quality considerations, and factors affecting electrical interference. It provides procedures for configuring emissivity (including known values and table-based methods), adjusting spike/noise suppression, and setting alarms. Appendix includes an emissivity table and safety/regulatory compliance information.

FAQs

What does the Omega Smart IR Temperature Probe measure and how?

It is a miniature infrared sensor that measures the surface temperature of a solid or liquid without contact. It also includes a built-in sensor to measure the ambient temperature of the probe itself.

What emissivity configuration options are provided for the probe?

The guide covers setting emissivity using a known emissivity value, using an emissivity table, or using a secondary temperature device.

What safety and usage warnings must be followed?

The equipment protection may be impaired if used outside the manual’s specified manner. The guide instructs not to operate in flammable or explosive environments and to read and follow all safety and EMC-related precautions.
