FAQs

Which government-issued IDs are accepted for UCAT 2026 testing?

Accepted IDs include a passport, a photo-card driver’s licence (full or provisional), an EU identity card or Irish passport card (with Roman script requirements), and a government-issued identity card from a non-EU country (with Roman/local script options).

Are EU identity cards accepted in the UK for UCAT testing?

No. EU identity cards or Irish passport cards are accepted at test centres in the EU only and are not accepted in the UK.

How should the candidate’s name in the UCAT account match the name on the photo ID?

The name registered in the UCAT account must correspond to the name shown on the photo ID. Examples in the policy show alignment across first, middle, and last name fields to produce the correct name on the ID.
