FAQs

What is a thaumaturge and what do they study?

Thaumaturges are mystics who seek the supernal underpinnings of the multiverse through distinct occult customs. They use tools from these practices to uncover the mundane and magical laws underlying many planes of existence, called the Tapestry.

What makes the thaumaturge’s spellcasting flexible?

Instead of learning or preparing spells from a predetermined list, a thaumaturge chooses which spell schools they learn spells from. This provides flexible character-building options.

What does overcasting allow a thaumaturge to do?

A thaumaturge can overcast spells to cast using a higher-level spell slot or to cast two lower-level spells with the same slot and action. This expands tactical options during play.
