"There Iwas,"he recalls,standingat the front of the classroom,chalk inhand,my palms slightly trembling." The nervousness,however,did notlast long.Ashe looked out at the class,a boy seated in the front row smiled athim. "The tools changed,"he reflects,"butthe heart of teaching did not.Ateacherstill stands before young minds,hopingto shape theminto good human beings."
