THE STRONGEST CABLE - Anatomy of a QCP™ (Quick-Connect Plug) - Continuous Life

Aug 29, 2026

Document presents an anatomy overview of QCP™ (Quick-Connect Plug) assemblies, detailing replaceable plug inserts, molded interior components, and plug housing designed to lock out corrosion and prevent water intrusion. It specifies key material and contact-pin features such as glass-filled nylon, floating brass pins, spring-wrapped pins, and pre-injected dielectric grease. Electrical cable sections compare LECTRACOIL™, LECTRAFLEX™, and PERMACOIL™ assemblies by recoil memory, chemical and abrasion resistance, and temperature flexibility, plus recommended replacement and cleaning practices.

THE STRONGEST CABLE WITH CONTINUOUS LIFE... For an uninterrupted ride! Anatomy of a QCP™ (Quick-Connect Plug) Replaceable Plug Insert • Replaceable in under 2 minutes • Glass filled nylon material to withstand tough impacts • Spring wrapped pins to retain a tight fit • Floating brass pins for secure installation of misaligned sockets • Pre-injected with dielectric grease for extra corrosion protection • Recommended Practice: Replace at first signs of corrosion Molded Interior Plug • Durable PVC overmold seals inner wires and cable to lock out corrosion • Molded wiper rings keep contact pins dry • Inner pins are also wrapped to retain a tight fit • Pre-injected with dielectric grease for extra corrosion protection • Completely sealed against rear entry water intrusion • Recommended Practice: Clean connection and apply dielectric grease before inserting a new plug insert Plug Housing • Unbreakable, non-corrosive nylon housing that resists impact • Large finger grips for easy coupling/uncoupling • Recommended Practice: When replacing the insert, pull housing back and clean all connections well Electrical Cable • LECTRACOIL™ Assemblies -Excellent recoil memory -Resistant to chemicals & abrasion -Flexible from-82°F to 195°F (-63°C to 91°C) • LECTRAFLEX™ Assemblies -Resistant to chemicals & abrasion -Flexible from-40°F to 150°F (-40°C to 66°C) • PERMACOIL™ Assemblies -Great recoil memory -Resistant to chemicals & abrasion -Flexible from-87°F to 150°F (-66°C to 66°C) • Recommended Practice: Use a tracker bar spring kit or pogo stick to support cable assemblies with longer leads ( L-TSCQCP-ENG) REV2 10-1 1-16 For new and innovative products, [visit www.phillipsind.com](visit www.phillipsind.com)[ ](visit www.phillipsind.com)[5231 California Ave. Suite 220 Irvine](5231 California Ave. Suite 220 Irvine), CA, 92617 800.423.4512 QCP ™ (Quick-Connect Plug) Assemblies | Part No. Type Style Length | | | | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | 16-125 | Replaceable Plug Insert-QCP™ (Quick-Connect Plug) | | | | 22-4324 | NON-ABS PERMACOIL™ | Coiled | 12 Ft. | | 24-4624 | NON-ABS PERMACOIL™ | Coiled | 15 Ft. | | 30-4324 | ABS PERMACOIL™ | Coiled | 12 Ft. | | 30-4624 | ABS PERMACOIL™ | Coiled | 15 Ft. | | 30-4924 | ABS PERMACOIL™ | Coiled | 15 Ft. with 48" Lead | | 30-9324 | ABS LECTRACOIL™ | Coiled | 12 Ft. | | 30-9334 | ABS LECTRAFLEX™ QCMS2™ | Coiled | 12 Ft. | | 30-9624 | ABS LECTRACOIL™ | Coiled | 15 Ft. | | 30-9634 | ABS LECTRAFLEX™ QCMS2™ | Coiled | 15 Ft. | | 30-9924 | ABS LECTRACOIL™ | Coiled | 15 Ft. with 48" Lead | | 30-9934 | ABS LECTRAFLEX™ QCMS2™ | Coiled | 15 Ft. with 48" Lead | | 30-9954 | ABS LECTRACOIL™ | Coiled | 20 Ft. | | 30-2054 | ABS LECTRAFLEX™ | Straight | 12 Ft. | | 30-2055 | ABS LECTRAFLEX™ QCMS2™ | Straight | 12 Ft. | | 30-2074 | ABS LECTRAFLEX™ | Straight | 15 Ft. | | 30-2075 | ABS LECTRAFLEX™ QCMS2™ | Straight | 15 Ft. | | 30-2095 | ABS LECTRAFLEX™ QCMS2™ | Straight | 20 Ft. | | 30-2154 | ABS LECTRAFLEX™ | 3-IN-1 Electrical/Air Combo | 12 Ft. | | 30-2155 | ABS LECTRAFLEX™ QCMS2™ | 3-IN-1 Electrical/Air Combo | 12 Ft. | | 30-2174 | ABS LECTRAFLEX™ | 3-IN-1 Electrical/Air Combo | 15 Ft. | | 30-2175 | ABS LECTRAFLEX™ QCMS2™ | 3-IN-1 Electrical/Air Combo | 15 Ft. | | 30-2194 | ABS LECTRAFLEX™ | 3-IN-1 Electrical/Air Combo | 20 Ft. | | 30-2195 | ABS LECTRAFLEX™ QCMS2™ | 3-IN-1 Electrical/Air Combo | 20 Ft. | | 30-2257 | ABS LECTRAFLEX™ | 4-IN-1 Electrical/Air Combo | 12 Ft. | | 30-2274 | ABS LECTRAFLEX™ | 4-IN-1 Electrical/Air Combo | 15 Ft. | | 30-2277 | ABS LECTRAFLEX™ | 4-IN-1 Electrical/Air Combo | 15 Ft. | | 30-2294 | ABS LECTRAFLEX™ | 4-IN-1 Electrical/Air Combo | 20 Ft. | | 30-2297 | ABS LECTRAFLEX™ | 4-IN-1 Electrical/Air Combo | 20 Ft. | For new and innovative products, [visit www.phillipsind.com](visit www.phillipsind.com)[ ](visit www.phillipsind.com)[5231 California Ave. Suite 220 Irvine](5231 California Ave. Suite 220 Irvine), CA, 92617 800

FAQs

How fast can the QCP™ replaceable plug insert be replaced?

The replaceable plug insert can be replaced in under 2 minutes.

What corrosion and water-resistance features protect the QCP™ connections?

The design uses pre-injected dielectric grease and a molded interior with sealed construction, including overmold sealing and molded wiper rings to keep contact pins dry.

What are the main differences among LECTRACOIL™, LECTRAFLEX™, and PERMACOIL™ cable assemblies?

They are compared by recoil memory, resistance to chemicals and abrasion, and allowable flexibility temperature ranges (each assembly lists its own range).
