Uploaded by Asher

The document examines how the Industrial & Technological Transformation and late-19th to mid-20th century world crises reshaped literature into modernist forms. It links urbanization, factories, mechanized life, war, economic collapse, and moral disillusionment to themes of alienation, fragmentation, and absurdity. It further connects psychological breakthroughs, Freud and Jung, with inward narrative shifts, and highlights social transformations through women’s suffrage and feminist exploration of female identity.
