Selected poems from 1973 to 1992 by Erin Mouré, including sequences drawn from Empire, York Street, Wanted Alive, Domestic Fuel, Furious, wsw (West South West), and Sheepish Beauty, Civilian Love. The collection presents sharply imagistic, experimental verse that links bodily fragmentation, memory, language, and violence to recurring motifs of time, responsibility, and speech. Notes, acknowledgements, and an author’s note contextualize earlier excerpts and their relation to the book’s internal structure.
