Thank you for choosing The Forgotten Circus! This adventure is designed to give you a spooky carnival experience with minimal prep. Whether you’re looking for a one-shot, a side quest, or a memorable chapter to weave into your ongoing campaign, this module provides plenty of eerie atmosphere, compelling roleplay hooks, and an unforgettable moral choice at the finale. Recommended Party Level: 1–4 Adventure Length: 2–4 hours How to Run This Adventure 1 . One-Shot: Run Acts 1 , 2, and 3 straight through in a single session. The story offers a neat arc—investigating a cursed circus, confronting twisted attractions, and making a final decision about a cursed mirror’s fate. 2. Side Quest: If your campaign already features supernatural or fey-themed elements, slip The Forgotten Circus in as an oddity on the road or near a spooky forest. The players can stumble upon the haunted carnival, solve its mystery, and continue on their main quest after lifting (or succumbing to) the curse. 3. Integrated into a Longer Campaign: If you’d like to expand on the cursed mirror’s lore or tie the circus to a bigger villain, use the sequel hooks to introduce a larger story. This adventure can be the catalyst that reveals a grander plan—perhaps another evil force seeks to exploit the cursed mirror’s power, or a powerful celestial needs the party’s help long after the big top is gone.
