“Few (if any) books so compassionately and constructively address the common, under- addressed overlap between adult attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and anxiety. I imagine anyone living with ADHD will benefit from reading The Adult ADHD and Anxiety Workbook.” —Mark Bertin, MD, author of Mindful Parenting for ADHD and Mindfulness and Self Compassion for Teen ADHD “Practical, concise, compact. Gets straight to the point, nothing fancy, no dillydallying. In other words, eminently ADHD-friendly. Written by a man who understands ADHD deeply, as well as anxiety in its many forms. Artful in combining narrative with workbook exercises, this book will entertain you, educate you, and give you practical ways to design and enhance your life. A superb, helpful book written by one of the masters in the field.” —Edward “Ned” Hallowell, MD, author and coauthor of numerous books, including Driven to Distraction and ADHD Explained “The Adult ADHD and Anxiety Workbook takes the overwhelm and confusion out of learning to manage ADHD. Ramsay takes the reader, step by doable step, chapter by chapter, guiding them to whittle their challenges down to size, giving them clear actions to take to manage their ADHD.” —Kathleen Nadeau, PhD, internationally known author of more than a dozen books on ADHD; and founder and director of The Chesapeake Center, one of the largest private ADHD specialty clinics in the US “J. Russell Ramsay has written a terrific workbook for individuals with adult ADHD—which is also valuable for family members, therapists, and others who want to help. People with ADHD tend to become very overwhelmed with the demands of everyday life. But the step-by-step process outlined in this workbook teaches you not only how to cope, but also how to motivate yourself to take each step.” —Judith S. Beck, PhD, president of the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and author of Cognitive Behavior Therapy “This useful book does not provide simple general answers to get rid of anxiety. Instead, it invites the reader to personalize the text by writing into the workbook specific examples of ways their daily life with ADHD is currently complicated by various types of anxiety in different situations. Ramsay describes strategies and specific behaviors which can be useful gradually to reduce excessive anxiety despite the ‘consistent inconsistency’ of ADHD.” —Thomas E. Brown, PhD, clinical professor of psychiatry and neuroscience at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine “Ramsay’s latest book is a much-needed guide full of important information about living with ADHD and anxiety, taking readers through an introspective and practical journey toward selfimprovement. For anyone who has read other books on ADHD but were missing this crucial component—the connection between ADHD and anxiety—this book is for you!” —Abigail Levrini, PhD, licensed psychologist; and author of the American Psychological Association bestseller, Succeeding with Adult ADHD and ADHD Coaching “As if coping with ADHD weren’t challenging enough, you’re grappling with anxiety, too?
