Connects the establishment of Israel to the fig tree parable in Matthew 24, links escalation in Ramallah and Ehud Barak’s defeat to prophecy fulfillment, and emphasizes the 144,000 chosen Jews as alive and speaking as final witnesses. As we watch the unfolding events in the Middle East, the talkingheads in the media give their perspectives on the problems Recently,as Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak announced hewould resign, forcing elections in February and an eventual loss toLikud Party opposition leader Ariel Sharon, the media treated thestory like it was any other nation—as if the implications andramifications were strictly natural. Barak had been forced into the position of resigning becausethe violence and fighting in the region had caused his popularityto plummet. In fact,Sharon handily defeated Barak in the February election, causing pundits all over the world to hold theirheads and wonder aloud what would happen in the Middle East.Sharon is seen as a war hawk, anxious to drive the Palestiniansout of Israel.Whether that aspersion is true or not will be shownin the next few months, but one thing is clear:Sharon's electionensured peace is a dubious prospect for the near future in theMiddle East. As Palestinian protesters and Israeli soldiers clashed, more than300 people ended up dead.Photos of funerals and violence- shattered lives becamecommonplace on theevening newS. .Television all over theworld showed a youngPalestinian boy being cutdown by a bullet in themiddle of crossfire between Former IsraeliPrime MinisterEhud Barak Palestinians and Israeli soldiers.Later, television showed the beatenand bloodied bodies of Israeli soldiers being kicked and desecratedby a mob at a police station. But the violence was not just random violence without a purpose;God has a plan,a purpose and an objective for EVERYTHING thathappens in the Middle East from 1948 on! We all know that the arrival of the Jewish state in 1948 was anincredible fulfillment of prophecy. Listen to what Jesus said.“Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves,ye knowthat summer is nigh.So likewise ye,when ye shall see all thesethings, know that it is near, even at the doors.Verily I say untoyou,This generation shall not pass, till all these things befulfilled.”(Matthew 24:34) Many prophecy scholars through the years have read thispassage and noted that prophetically, the fig tree is arepresentation of the nation of Israel. The prophetic picturepainted, then,is that when Israel returned from the dispersionthroughout the nations of the world, the generation that saw thosethings would also see the end. On Sept.30,2000 the tensions between Palestinian youth andIsraeli soldiers in the West Bank town of Ramallah erupted.A12-year-old boy was killed in the crossfire, and thus began theescalation that led to Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak's defeat. Partner, that generation—the generation of Jews who returnedIsrael to the place of a sovereign nation with Jerusalem as itscapital—will be the final generation before the Rapture of theChurch, the tribulation and the 144,000 chosen Jews who willspeak out as the final witnesses of Christ.(Matthew 24:34) And those 144,000 Jews—according to the prophecy in Matthew—are ALIVE right now!Right now,as we reach out to the Jews allover the world through the Jewish World Outreach,we are plantingthe time-release seeds that will bear fruit in their lives after theRapture of the Church!Partner, the conflicts in Israel that arehappening now testify to the fact that these prophecies ARECOMING TO PASS!Soon,we will be caught up in the Rapture! But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe thatJesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleepin
