We need to urgently act now,as the goal of reducing extreme poverty to less than 3 percent globally by 2030is more and more difficult to achieve.The world is facing an increasing scale,frequency,and intensity ofcomplex crises.Climate change,fragility,habitat loss,and pandemics are threatening past and futureprogress.Bold,ambitious,accelerated,just and transformative actions are needed to implement the 2030Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement,as the recent UN Summit of the Future laidout.Effective multilateralism is essential. Working together towards common solutions to global challenges is the spirit we are engaged with at theWorld Bank through the Evolution Reform.The Bank is on track to be more effective and better equipped toaddress today's scale of development challenges,including on how to be prepared to respond to more rapidand intense shocks.We particularly commend the World Bank's enhancement to its preparedness andresponse toolkit to provide flexible,coherent,and adapted support to its client countries. We encourage the World Bank to further increase collaboration and coordination with peers,as outlined inthe MDBs Viewpoint Note‘MDBs Working as a System for Impact and Scale'.We particularly call onMDBs to build on ongoing efforts in harmonizing policy frameworks,standards,methodologies and relatedoperational processes in a synchronized manner.While we commend the new Corporate Scorecard andsupport the strong continuing efforts to improve outcome orientation,we also encourage furtherharmonization of results indicators with other development partners.We expect the Bank to move to moresystemic and institutionalized mechanisms within the multilateral system to better leverage comparativestrengths,share knowledge and best practices,and scale up the system's impact as a whole.We encouragemore initiatives like the piloting of mutual reliance with the Asian Development Bank and the joint initiativebetween IFC and UNHCR.We ask the World Bank to consider working towards a joint,holisticcollaboration arrangement instead of separate bilateral arrangements and MoUs.We also see merit to learnfrom other multilateral development bank's engagements with subnational entities.Local and subnationalgovernments play a key role in addressing domestic and global challenges and delivering public services tocitizens.We welcome the efforts to maintain the leading role as a Knowledge Bank in order to meet clientneeds and global development challenges.We would welcome indicators to me
