My daughter doesn't use awheelchair, butshe is visually impaired and uses a cane tohelp her know where objects are around her.My daughter never lets her mobility challengestop her.I wanted Star Powers to be that waytoo.Sometimes, ifa person has a special need, people think the person can't do anything.Peopleare always amazed when my daughter canspell a word, swim, and even do gymnastiesEverywhere she goes she teaches others that sheis just like everyone else and can do so manythings.I wanted Star Powers to do the same.I didn't want Star's disability to define her.Iwanted her to be brave and teach not only herselfbut everyone around her that she was capable ofachieving anything—even being an astronaut! I hope you enjoy these books as much as 1enjoyed writing them.
