We acknowledge Jesus Christ is our King, and that he reigns over all the world and the Kingdom of God. He is not an earthly King who rules with a sword and throne, but He rules within our hearts. The information was just shared with the school staff. In accordance with the family’s wishes, a private ceremony was held at an earlier date. We are aware that this will come as a shock to many families. When a death occurs, it is often uncomfortable, especially for younger children. Keeping the sensitive nature of this situation in mind, and the fact that there is often wide variability in children’s responses to death. We ask that you share this information over the weekend in your own way. Staff will be available to students on Monday if they need support. Additional resources are also available to families if requested. Please keep Ms. Allman, her family, and friends in your prayers. ANGEL TREE at ST. JOAN OF ARC CES In partnership with the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Matthew Parish, St. Joan of Arc School will be participating in the Angel Tree initiative this holiday season. This officially kicks off on Monday, November 13, 2023. The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul (SSVP) extends, on behalf of our neighbours, a most heartfelt thank you to the St. Joan of Arc community for their past support through the Angel Wish Tree Christmas campaign. As we prepare for this coming Christmas season, SSVP are appealing for our help once again. The reality is that inflation is going to make celebrating Christmas that much more difficult. Families that weathered the pandemic are now finding it extremely challenging to make ends meet. We presently serve 150 low-income families (435 individuals) in our community. We would like to brighten their holiday by providing each family member with gift cards. Our neighbours appreciate the opportunity to shop for what best suits their needs and gift cards give them the flexibility to shop in person or online. The gift cards needed for our neighbours are the following: • $25 grocery gift cards-Presid
