SHE HAS NO PLACE IN PARADISE - A GRoOM Is filled with dread at hisapproaching wedding ceremony

Oct 14, 2026

A collection of subtly sharp stories centered on sexual politics and the tensions between individuals in contemporary society. The opening tale follows a groom who dreads his upcoming wedding, where his manhood will be tested, turning fear of his mother into fear and hatred toward the young bride he is compelled to marry. Written by Nawal El Saadawi, the volume frames power and impotence through controlled, provocative narratives that combine directness with chilling emotional impact.
