Service Bulletin SEB92-8 dated April 17, 1992 specifies replacement of certain S2178-4 series hydraulic hoses used on Cessna 177RG and F177RG aircraft (1973–1978/1977/earlier specified serials) and on 210 and P210 models. Replacement is required to prevent reduced landing gear extension/retraction caused by kinks, damage, or hoses installed with less than a two-inch bend radius or in compression. Compliance deadlines vary by model, with optional 50–100 hour timelines, prior-to-next-flight conditions, and an owner notification and prorated parts credit program.
