FAQs

What punctuation rules does the cheat sheet emphasize for SAT/ACT grammar?

It treats period/semicolon/comma relationships and explains when commas or colons are correct, such as using a colon for lists or explanations. It also warns against extra commas around non-essential clauses and certain word positions.

How should you choose between it’s, Its, and its’ according to this sheet?

It’s means “it is,” while Its is the possessive form of “it.” The form its’ is listed as incorrect.

What does the cheat sheet recommend for answering rhetoric and transition questions?

It recommends using context by reading a sentence before and after, crossing out transitions to judge the relationship, and reading enough of the paragraph the transition begins. It also suggests checking OMIT/DELETE options first when available.
