FAQs

What confidentiality options are provided for the response?

Respondents can choose whether AQA treats the response as confidential. If confidential is selected, details are not included in published lists, though anonymous quotes may still be used.

Why does the response not comment on GCSE astronomy?

It states AQA is not intending to develop a qualification in Astronomy, so it is not commenting on the consultation for that subject.

What position is taken for GCSE business assessment and tiering?

The response strongly agrees that GCSEs in business should be assessed entirely by exams and strongly agrees that they should not be tiered, arguing that skills can be assessed via written examination and that this simplifies administration for centres.
