The RPF builds on the WBG’s long engagement with small island developing states in the region as well asthe new WBG Small States Strategy. It supports the development priorities that are common across the National Development Plans of the PIC9, which are Kiribati, the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI), the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), Nauru, Palau, Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu. These priorities include better governance, economic management, private sector development, and job creation; greater investment in infrastructure for connectivity and resilience; improved human capital and social inclusion; and greater environmental sustainability and resilience.
